Apples are part of the rose family, along with plums and pears, and one of the most widely consumed fruits in the world. In Sweden, we have around 13 varieties, some with traditional Swedish names such as 'Ingrid-Marie' and 'Frida', and all of them are rich in antioxidants and healthy fruit sugar, which makes this fruit a healthy and wonderfully nutritious snack, as well as being an excellent ingredient for cosmetics, as its sugar and acid content helps to protect, moisturise and promote skin exfoliation. 

Beeswax is a natural wax emollient, produced by bees and appreciated for its magnificent properties. A by-product of honey production, beeswax is a highly effective ingredient used in make-up and skincare, with moisturising and protective properties. A moisturiser, beeswax is incredibly soothing and protective, with the ability to relieve chapped skin.  

One sunflower can contain up to 2,000 seeds, from which one of the most soothing and nourishing beauty ingredients, sunflower oil, is extracted. Widely used in cooking, sunflower oil is also an extremely versatile ingredient in cosmetics, with excellent softening and antioxidant properties. Sunflower oil is lighter and contains fatty acids that complement the skin's natural lipids, helping to nourish and soften the skin, as well as maintaining moisture levels. 

Ascorbic acid or vitamin C is a skin lightening powerhouse and one of the most researched and science-backed ingredients in skincare. As well as whitening the skin, it is a powerful antioxidant. Your skin needs to produce collagen, a structural protein that supports the skin, keeping it smooth and firm. Vitamin C increases the production of skin lipids which are so essential for maintaining moisture levels, flexibility and for strengthening the barrier.
