Many properties have been attributed to burdock, and it is one of the most widely used roots in medicine, usually consumed as a tea, tincture or powdered supplement. Burdock is a rich source of plant sugars, flavonoids, minerals, tannins and proteins, which work together to help soften the skin in cosmetic products. Thanks to its essential oils and lipids, this root is also nutritious in hair and scalp products to reduce sebum production and prevent dandruff.

This multi-purpose exfoliating acid is an excellent choice for glowing, smooth, firm and moisturised skin. An AHA (alpha hydroxy acid), lactic acid works by stimulating the skin to eliminate dead cells and transferring new cells to the surface. It is already present in the skin's NMF (Natural Moisturizing Factor), which is a whole range of substances vital for keeping the skin soft and moisturised. As a larger molecule than glycolic acid, lactic acid is generally well tolerated by most skin types.

Widely used in cooking, sunflower oil is also an extremely versatile ingredient in cosmetics, with excellent softening and antioxidant properties.
