The hardy gooseberry bush survives colder climates such as Sweden, revealing ruby-red berries that are popular in drinks. These tangy fruits are highly nutritious, packed with minerals and vitamins A, B1, B2 and K, as well as vitamin C and carotenoids, both of which have antioxidant benefits for the skin. The high content of fruit acids in Gooseberry makes it a magnificently toning ingredient in skincare. 

The Horse Chestnut is part of the Hippocastanaceae family, with large pink or white flowers. It should not be confused with the common chestnut as they are poisonous. However, its seeds, leaves and bark have many properties and have been used in traditional medicine for many years.
