Many properties have been attributed to burdock, and it is one of the most widely used roots in medicine, usually consumed as a tea, tincture or powdered supplement. Burdock is a rich source of plant sugars, flavonoids, minerals, tannins and proteins, which work together to help soften the skin in cosmetic products. Thanks to its essential oils and lipids, this root is also nutritious in hair and scalp products to reduce sebum production and prevent dandruff.

If you take a walk around Sweden in the summer, you'll find warm yellow areas next to green fields. These are canola plantations, plants with bright yellow flowers that belong to the Brassicaceae family. Canola oil is low in saturated lipids, making it a very healthy option.
