NATURAL LIPIDS

This lipid layer is crucial for healthy, youthful skin, but it is often compromised in sensitive skin, and also declines as we age. When the lipid layer is compromised, the whole barrier is compromised: water can leave the skin more readily, and aggressors can enter the skin more readily too. A compromised skin barrier will appear rough, dry and dull may be prone to redness, breakouts and irritation. NovAge Skinrelief Night Cream is formulated with a blend of skin-mimetic natural lipids including Shea Butter and Swedish Oat Oil. Skin-mimetic means they have a very similar molecular structure to the lipids produced naturally by the skin. These oils help restore and maintain the integrity of the skin barrier.
