Ailish Bourke
Senior Director, Technical Operations

I am responsible for the new product development programme in Body Care, Hair Care and Fragrance, ensuring the efficient delivery of hundreds of products every year. I am also responsible for Business Systems and Quality Assurance in Research and Development, ensuring that we are as efficient as possible in the way we operate.

What are you proud of?
Developing the "Specific Solutions" face range. Being described as a role model for Oriflame. Project managing the launch of our first certified natural skincare range.

What is the most exciting part of your job?
Working with a diverse group of people, in the R&D centre, and globally. No two days are the same. People present me with challenges and together we come up with solutions.

Whatis most important to you in life?
Trying to make the world a better place for our children and our children's children. Also, sensitising people to global warming and the unfair distribution of wealth. I believe that "everyone can make a difference".

What inspires you?
Nature - the beauty of a sunrise, birdsong at dawn, rainbows, snowy mountains, the intense colour of flowers. The list is enormous.

Dr Alain Mavon (PhD)
Senior Director of Science and Innovation

Together with the experts and scientists at the Research and Development Institute, I bring ideas and innovations to life with our products. I meet with advisors in person and on social media to explain the benefits of these innovations on your skin.

Can you describe the path that led you to Oriflame?
I decided to build my international career. I'm originally from France and moved to Sweden to join this exciting company.

Why do you work for Oriflame?
Oriflame's values are important to me - this is a people business. It's rewarding to be able to help people change their lives and their skin, to be happier and more confident.

What doyou see in the future for Oriflame?
I see us creating more powerful product ranges through effective, natural, innovative and sustainable technologies. Our products will be enriched with a deeper connection to Sweden.

Capucine Martin-Phipps
Senior Scientist, Claims and Scientific Communication

My team is at the heart of product communication. We tell the scientific story of Oriflame and our products in the most understandable way possible. We work with different departments in the Research and Development Institute to ensure that our products deliver what they promise.

What are you proud of?
I'm proud of the position as "expert" that I've earned at Oriflame through hard work and continuous curiosity in my almost decade-long career in the industry.

What is the most exciting part of your job?
Being in contact with so many teams at Oriflame on a daily basis is invaluable for a naturally curious person like me! What drives me is the feeling that we are all part of one big Oriflame team, which strives to provide the best products.

Why do you work for Oriflame?
Working at Oriflame, I am committed to using my passion for cosmetics to add value and authenticity to our advisors and customers, continually striving to achieve the highest standards in what I do and how I do it.

What is most important to you in life?

Dr Cormac Byrne (PhD)
Director, Wellness Technologies

I lead the research and development of Wellness by Oriflame products. My main focus is to discover, develop and deliver exciting new Wellness by Oriflame formulas, which will help our consumers live healthier and happier lives.

What have youmost enjoyed doing?
Building a Wellness by Oriflame laboratory at the Research and Development Institute in 2017/2018 was something I really enjoyed being a part of.

What is the most exciting part ofyour job?
The variety of my job makes it exciting! No two days, no two products and no two challenges are the same. Everything at Oriflame changes every day.

Why do you work for Oriflame?
I think the people who work at Oriflame are remarkable! No matter which country I visit for Oriflame - Europe, India, China or anywhere else - I always meet friendly, welcoming, enthusiastic and brilliant people. Our unique organisational culture

Who inspires you?
As a passionate sailor and mountaineer, I'm inspired by volunteers from the Coastguard, RNLI and Mountain Rescue Service: ordinary people who take voluntary risks to help perfect strangers

Cyril Messaraa
Senior Scientist, Ori-Derm Clinical Testing and Evaluation

I am responsible for measuring the effectiveness of our skincare formulas. I'm also responsible for studying different ethnicities to better understand the skin needs of our customers around the world.

What are you proud of?
Being able to turn some of my work into scientific articles that are shared throughout the scientific community. It's extremely rewarding!

What did youenjoy doing most?
Defining and coordinating a large clinical study in China. It was very hard work but so rewarding. It was challenging and fascinating to understand all the data generated.

Why do you work for Oriflame?
Employee wellbeing is at the heart of Oriflame's values. What's more, working for a cosmetics company whose products are part of our daily lives gives me purpose.

What inspires you?
Travelling and immersing yourself in different cultures. Ever since I was a kid, I knew it was something I was going to do and Oriflame created opportunities for me to do it.

Emily Whelan
Director, Colour and Innovative Technologies

I'm responsible for translating the latest scientific advances and global trends into our innovative make-up formulas. It's exciting to be at the centre of science, innovation and strategy to create the make-up products of the future.

What are you proud of?
I was the first Oriflame chemist to merge patented skincare technology with make-up to create a new hybrid product - a tinted foundation that hydrates the skin at the same time. Oriflame was one of the first companies to do so, leading to several awards for our Everlasting Colour Base.

What are you currently working on?
It is our mission to be at the forefront of research and development in all aspects of cosmetics. We are currently researching Neurocosmetics - the connection between the skin and the brain, creating innovative technologies that provide multisensory experiences, from touch to smell, sight and taste.

What have youenjoyed most?
In make-up, we have an annual innovation workshop - this is always the highlight of the year for me because it's where everyone's creativity, passion and imagination reaches a new level.

What is most important to you in life?
I believe that we come into this world not for ourselves, but for the difference we can make to the world, the environment and other people's lives
.

Gabriela Zuanazzi
Senior Formulation Chemist

I'm a facial care chemist responsible for developing new formulas. It's rewarding to combine new ingredients to create effective formulas with excellent sensory qualities.

What areyou currently working on?
At the moment, I'm working on formulas with a high natural profile, including a new baby care range.

What's the most exciting part of your job?
For me, it's understanding consumer needs and translating that into a combination of the best ingredients to offer the right formulas. Touching people's lives every day with our products.

Dr Garrett Moran (PhD)
Senior Director, Global Regulatory Affairs

I am responsible for the safety and compliance of all Oriflame products worldwide. My goal is to ensure that our products comply with regulations in all the countries where we market them, and that they all meet the same safety criteria.

What are you proud of?
I'm proud to be able to lead a fantastic team of safety and regulatory specialists. Their passion for their jobs is contagious.

What is the most exciting part of your job?
I consider myself lucky to be able to work with people from all over the world on a daily basis.
Ienjoy the challenge of ensuring that our products comply with regulations in all the markets where we operate.

Why do you work for Oriflame?
Oriflame puts people first and that's very important to me, which is why I've been with the company for 15 years.

What inspires you?
Constantly challenging myself to be better and to keep learning, and to feel that I'm doing something

Justine Drevet
Principal Toxicologist, Product Safety

I assess the safety of all the ingredients that make up our formulas, especially in our skincare products. By providing such robust safety assessments, we ensure that all our products, all over the world, are safe.

What's the most exciting part of your job?
Day-to-day work is different. We are involved in product development from start to finish, and even afterwards, when the products are on the market, to ensure that consumers are satisfied with the safety of the product.

Why do you work for Oriflame?
Oriflame is a very open company and enjoys meeting and working with people from different cultures. Travelling to meet colleagues on the other side of the world is very exciting and rewarding. I had the pleasure of going to China in January 2019, and it was a very interesting experience.

What is most important to you in life?
I value trust, hard work and friendship.
Ilike to try new sports because it helps to push our limits.

Who inspires you?
I would say Simone Veil, who is a famous French woman who has worked, among many other things, to defend women's rights

Dr Ia Khmaladze (PhD)
Principal Scientist, Skin Health

I work at the Skin Research Institute, in the group that seeks to discover new active ingredients. A deep understanding of skin biology and ageing allows us to find the most relevant active ingredients to stimulate the skin's natural defences and slow down the signs of ageing.

What are you proud of?
I'm proud to lead the microbiome project, where our ultimate goal is to develop more specific and exclusive skincare products to maintain a healthy microbiome and naturally beautiful, youthful skin at all ages!

Why do you work for Oriflame?
I firmly believe that my passion and research focus in the field of skin biology will contribute to the development of more specific and exclusive skincare products.

What is most important to you in life?
It is important to me to make beautiful changes in people's lives. Oriflame's anti-ageing skincare products are part of the important change we create at Oriflame.

The biggest inspiration for me is nature

Dr Natasha Williams O'Hanlon (PhD)
Director, Raw Material Integrity

I am responsible for implementing brand values and product criteria into our formulas. This has led to the development of responsible formulas, banning the use of plastic microparticles, and making our Love Nature formulas biodegradable.

What are you proud of?
Having completed my PhD in 4 years, and the development and launch of our first natural, ethical and environmentally responsible range, a world first.

Can you describe your journey that led you to Oriflame?
When I was writing my PhD thesis, I was working at university, but I felt I wanted exposure to the world outside academia. I saw the advert for a position with a Swedish cosmetics company whose ethics mirrored my own, which would allow me to combine my love of nature, science and communication.

What have you most enjoyed working on?
The world's first FairtradeTM certified cosmetics range. We set up the world's first "Fairtrade Cosmetics Development Fund", which allowed us to get involved in social and environmental projects in the communities from which we source Fairtrade raw materials.

What is most important to you in life?
Helping to ensure that Oriflame is a responsible and ethical company. Raising two loving, respectful, honest and courageous girls
