Hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is a superior moisture binder, attracting and retaining up to 1000 times its weight in water. Naturally found in the skin, hyaluronic acid cushions, moisturises and protects. It is a component of the skin's ECM - extracellular matrix - along with collagen and elastin, a complex gel-like network that surrounds the cells that make the skin strong, flexible and resilient.

Key Benefits

  • Strengthens and smoothes: Strengthens the skin barrier and smoothes a rough texture for softer, more radiant skin.

  • Fills in wrinkles: Renews the skin with moisture, smoothing and filling in existing wrinkles. With more supple and moisturised skin, new lines are also less likely to form

  • Skin moisturising star: Infuses the upper layers of the skin with essential moisture for a fresh, revitalised feel and look

Sodium hyaluronate is the salt form of hyaluronic acid. Both are used in skin care and both are very effective moisturisers.
