Glycolic acid

Glycolic acid is a repairer of sun-damaged skin and an essential ingredient for brightening and evening out skin tone. As a fast and effective chemical exfoliant, it stimulates cell renewal, weakening the bonds between dead skin cells so that they slough off evenly to reveal fresh, new skin underneath. Glycolic acid is in the AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) family of exfoliating acids, along with lactic and malic acids. Being the smallest molecule of all the AHAs, it penetrates the skin easily and starts working quickly.

Key Benefits

  • Impressive exfoliation: Encourages new, vibrant skin cells to move to the surface. These new cells reflect light evenly for an enhanced glow to your skin. Clears the build-up of old cells from the skin's surface to smooth, brighten and help prevent the formation of blemishes

  • Excellent skin whitening: glycolic acid unifies the dispersion of melanin (the skin pigment) in the skin and inhibits its production, which translates into a spectacular glow and a more even tone

  • Increased collagen: increases collagen production and has been shown to remodelling the ECM (Extracellular Matrix). By increasing collagen, the skin will be smoother and firmer.

Always protect your skin from the sun with broad-spectrum sunscreen when using glycolic acid
