Polished, not pressured: Tsutsumi Hoang’s back-to-business guide

The end of summer always brings that in-between feeling: not quite ready to let go, but ready to get your life back together. For beauty and fashion influencer Tsutsumi Hoang, “back to business” is less about pressure and more about the small beauty and self-care rituals that help you feel polished again. Here, she shares her go-to tips for resetting your skin, hair, and makeup for the season ahead.
Start with a soft reset
Rather than diving straight back into a packed schedule, Tsutsumi prefers to ease her way into everyday life again. “The first thing I do is get back into small routines. Nothing extreme, just waking up a bit earlier, having my breakfast, and taking care of myself. It’s more about creating a feeling than following a strict schedule.” That softer approach is exactly what “back to business” means to her. “To me, it isn’t about being busy, it’s about feeling more like myself again. It’s stepping back into my routine in a more elevated and intentional way, knowing what I want, how I want to feel, and showing up as that version of myself.”

Reset your skin after summer

After weeks of sun, heat and travel, skin can feel a little out of balance. Tsutsumi’s answer is to keep things simple with plenty of hydration, and ingredients that help bring back that fresh, healthy-looking glow. “I always go back to ingredients that hydrate and strengthen the skin barrier. I love hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, peptides, and vitamin C for added radiance. This is my ultimate glow cocktail.” Tsutsumi’s skin reset essentials:

• Skin-barrier-supporting ingredients
• Water and a when needed

Bring your hair back to life

Hair needs its own kind of reset after summer too. For Tsutsumi, that means bringing moisture and shine back first, then easing into styles that make her feel polished and put together again.
“After sun and salt water, I focus on nourishing hair masks and oils. I take breaks from heat styling, always use heat protection when I do, and leave-in conditioner is a must. For a daily touch of luxury, I’ll also visit a hair salon for a deep clean, a trim, and colour if needed to .”
And when it comes to feeling back-to-business ready, she keeps it simple.
“Really good hair days give me confidence. I love a sleek bun or a soft blowout. It’s my go-to for feeling fresh and put together.”

As the season shifts, Tsutsumi makes a few subtle updates to her makeup routine too. The goal is not to do more, but to swap in shades and products that feel fresh, flattering and . “In the colder months, I lean into softer tones, still keeping the skin dewy. I swap the bronzy summer glow for deep rosy looks.” And when it comes to the one product that makes the biggest difference, her answer is refreshingly simple. “A good is probably the one product that makes me feel instantly put together. When the under-eye area is brightened, everything else just looks more awake.”

Back to business, your way

A back-to-business reset doesn’t have to mean changing everything at once. As Tsutsumi shows, it can be as simple as returning to the rituals that make you feel refreshed, confident and more like yourself again — whether that starts with skincare, hair, makeup or simply easing back into routine. So as autumn begins, why not take this as your sign to reset in a way that feels polished, personal and easy to keep up?
